After The Inverted Nipple Correction Operation
Postoperative Management
You will be discharged home shortly after an inverted nipple correction operation and be issued with a telephone number to ring in the event of a problem or query.
During that first day you are advised to rest. Some discomfort is to be expected which responds well to standard pain killers.
The dressings can be removed the next day and a shower can be taken.
You can return to work as soon as the next day.
You must attend a follow up appointment with the surgeon a week to ten days after your surgery for review.
Recovery & Results Following Inverted Nipple Correction Surgery
Recovery after an inverted nipple correction operation usually takes a few days. The usual result is entirely normal-looking nipples which react normally to temperature changes and being touched. Scarring is minimal and doesn’t usually present a problem.
